re useable trans pan gasket

have the 4r70w and am flushing the fluid and replacing the filter, was wondering if i should replace the gasket on which seals the pan to the bottom of the trans of re use the oem one which is on the truck now. i have heard mixed things about re useing the original gasket and was wondering what everyone else has done.

i have a new replacement gasket that came with the filter i bought.

use the original one unless it is cut or pinched weird

alot better then the thin gaskets they sell with the filter, you will see what im talking about when you pull the pan down

X3. I have had my pan off twice and re-used the gasket both times, no leaks. Some of the guys here have re-used theirs many more times. Clean it up and inspect it. If it looks like it is in good shape re-use it.

x4, I just had mine flushed a few weeks ago and the mechanic came out to the waiting room to tell me he wasn't going to use the thin gasket I got with the filter. Said the factory one was fine, even took me out to show me.
