Transmission Slipping?

I have noticed over the past few weeks that my 2000 4x4 expedition seems very slugish oh the line. Today I steped on it and it hesitated, rpms went up and then it started moving. Also I can step on the break in gear and start excelerating rpms get to 2000 and then I dont feel a pull from the truck anymore. The tranny oil looks a little dirty, had a flush at 65k and am getting ready for another. Any thoughts on what could be happining?
