Thumbs up Pics of my welded drain plug

I bought a new pan from my local Ford dealer and welded a 1/4" thread-o-let onto it for draining the fluid. In a few months,at 24k miles,i'll drop the current pan, change the filter and fluid, then reinstall this pan.I'm not done with it;I still need to clean it up,paint it,and install the brass plug.

I would think his way would be cheaper, also gave him a project to do and self made is always better than store bought...........when it works

Ahhh the benefits of being in a professional trade that goes hand and hand with your truck.

I'm a aerospace metal plater... cadmium, chrome, gold, silver, nickel, electroless nickel, zinc, all the aluminum chromates under the sun, and a ton of other processes like electropolishing.
