studs hitting block

im trying to put my engine back in but the torque converter studs are hitting the block. I have the reinforcement plate in, so why are they hitting?

Did you forget the spacer between the flex plate and the crank? Wrong torque converter?

studs

I have the reinforcement plate installed, and its the factory tranny and converter. The engine is from Accurate Engines, direct replacement. This is why Im so confused, is there supposed to be a shim between the converter and flywheel? There is only about 4 threads showing above the nut.
