Well , you tried - At least it wasn't a total loss.

car-part.com - Type in your zip and they'll find one in your area. I would trust a used E40D before I would a rebuilt one.

Yea allot of PM'ing - that's for sure. Not just him, there's another guy doing the same thing to his E4OD who asked for info as well. Abernathy ? - I think that's his user name - he finished a couple days ago , but he was successful. What a waste of time it was trying to help Delirium. I should have just ignored the PM's and everything else - I'll learne I guess..

Now I'm pi$$ed - Good luck with your welder Klitch.

No, no, I didn't mean to come across like a smart ***, I sure don't want you to think I'm upset or anything, I really appreciate all the info and time you have spent helping me out, I couldn't even imagine trying to blame someone for something not working that would be crazy. I knew good and well going into this that it may or may not help so I'm not pissed off by any means, and even if I was, you would be the last person I would be mad at, you went out of your way to help me when you never had to and I can't thank you enough. Hell I feel worse for you putting all that time into answering my questions and I still didn't get it fixed lol

Well , when get another trans - The bad about a rebuilt trans is that there only as good as the builder. Even when they come with a good warranty - who wants to go thru the hassle of swapping one out.

I trust a used unit with fairly low miles from a salvage over a rebuild. It's OEM, theres a warranty - and yes , there is that chance of getting a bad one, but if you do, it's usually noticed right off the bat rather than down the road. It's really doubtful that you will. BTW -It's also cheaper. car-part.com found many for me to chose from in the area if I was unsuccessful in fixing mine.

You'll get to use all your improvements that came in your Transgo kit as well - You can't replace that boost valve and springs without removing the trans from the vehicle - I know you didn't do that.

You can save some of your oil. I reused mine , all but the last two quarts drained - you can see the contamination if drain into clear quart bottles and you can re filter w/trans filter like one in the kit posted earlier. It's not recommended, but it seamed to work for me; I couldn't afford to keep buying Amsoil when I was making various plate adjustments either. I re-filtered and re-used since I just put it in the day before.
