Blinking OD light and slip in 4WD?

The last year has been bad for my 98 F-150 4x4.

Right before winter it started making a clunk any time I take it out of park into reverse or drive and release the brake. Then during winter I slid into a curb and busted the bead off the front passenger side rim.

I took that rim and tire off and put the spare on, but the spare tire was smaller then the other tires. It was bad weather (hence sliding into the curb) so I still had it in 4 High and drove about a mile it was bad so I didn't go fast. I drove on the spare in 2wd for a few days till I found a replacement rim. But ever since then when I put it in 4 High I can't get over 30MPH, the engine just wraps out. I assume that the transmission is slipping but that just my guess.

Just last month the OD light started to flash and after reading some post here it's common for the code to come back as a slipping code.

So I guess my question is it likely that the transmission is slipping as the OD light maybe saying and the 4WD problem is linked to that?

In 2WD I don't have any problem other than the flashing light, I can get up to Highway speeds no problem and it seems that the OD is working.

Take it to a shop that can read tranny codes and get them read.
