2001 Ford F150 Automatic Transmission

My transmission started jerking (you might say bucking) a little bit. It only does this more in overdrive then no overdrive, Also it only does it between 1500 and 2000 rpm, usually at 45 to 55 it will do it in overdrive, at that time I take overdrive off because that will kick rpms up to and over 2000. It will not do any jerking in the morning or cold only when warm.

It could be a coil misfiring that you are feeling and not a trans issue. The way you describe it is just like a coil failure which is very common. Has the check engine light come on atall ? or have you seen it flash when you feel the hesitation ? Take it to a local auto parts store and they will most likely scan for codes at no charge and you will be able to see if anything thing has been stored. If there has been a code stored in memory post it up here and we'll lead you in the right direction.
