i have a 95 f150 4x4 im looking into starting to do quite a bit of work to it... i want it auto and im gonna get a lot of body work done and the frame has some rust on it and while i have the cab and bed off im gonna sandblast the frame down and have new metal patched into any rusty spots and it coated with rhino liner.. anyways back on to my question.. while im doing this i really want to change from manual to auto.. i would like to just rebuild and keep my 4.9l but to do that i would need to find a harness and computer for a 4.9l auto.. but if instead i find an auto mustang 5.0 can i used the motor/computer/trans for that and swap it into my truck and make it work or would just be better off finding a donor truck and just swapping everything over.. i really love my truck but she needs a lot of attention

 

You need a 4x4 tranny to bolt up to your transfer case. No mustang auto will give you that option. I'd find a 300 harness and computer to go along with your 4x4 E4OD donor.
