4R70 replacement

4R70 replacement

I'm considering swapping a 4R100 into my 2002 F-150 4x4 to replace the 4R70 that's in there now. Could I just get one out of a 250/350 and bolt it in?

if you get the computer, transfercase, wiring and torque converter (possibly driveshafts) to go with the trans,

you'll need a crossmember and a driveline as well


it'd be easier to get a monsterbox 4r70

It's starting to sound like a nightmare. Just pick up a spare 4R70 and get a better torque convertor. Who makes the monsterbox?
