Your truck is brand new. You don't need to drop the pan. There is nothing wrong with your filter or gasket. Just have them use the flush machine so that all of your OEM fluids are vacuumed out and replaced. Good luck & have fun with picking out your replacement fluids. Red Line, Lucas Oil, Amsoil, Royal Purple, Mobil 1 - quite a selection out there. Do your own research and pick one that you feel comfortable with - not just because you've heard it mentioned.
Thanks! I've been using Mobil-1 in the engine, so I'll probably use it in the tranny too!....

I am also adding a trans cooler + aftermarket pan with a drain plug so that I can drop a few quarts at a time with more frequency. I'm not in favor of only dropping the pan at the suggested "Normal Condition" service interval of 150,000 miles, because you don't get to swap out all 13.9 quarts of ATF. However, I do feel that draining and adding 5 or 6 quarts once a year is okay, if I still follow the severe duty schedule of flushing every 30,000 miles.

I have not decided on which model pan yet. A little more research is in order. I still have to figure out which one is compatible with the 4R75E, if it requires a new gasket or re-uses the OEM gasket, if it requires a new filter or re-uses the OEM filter, et cetera.

I looked at both the Troyer Performance Active Automatic Transmission Cooler Kit PPI-ATCKIT and B&M Racing 70297 - Hi-Tek Cooling System. I decided to go with B&M. Why? Troyer's fan comes on at 180 - B&M's fan comes on at 175. Troyer's fan is 400 CFM - B&M's fan is 500 CFM.

Can the pan be dropped in the 4R75E tranny?
As i want to do mine and replace it with Amsoil ATF. It says its a sealed case?
A sealed case and lifetime transmission fluid make the transmission maintenance free, while adaptive pressure control maintains consistent shift feel over time.

I think that any pan can be dropped. But you should flush your fluids so that you can replace all of it. Dropping the pan only gets out about 6 quarts.

Hey thanks Fifty,

That was the plan to replace all of it. But i want to drop the pan and replace the filter first then follow the procedure to replace the ATF.

My dealer tech said to do the direct opposite. He said to drop the pan and change the filter first then flush with new fluid. He said it's better to flush clean fluid through a dirty filter temporarily than to flush dirty fluid through a clean filter, thereby making a clean filter dirty somewhat. It's probably splitting hairs but it does make a little sense. Just thought I would mention this. Anybody else have any theories on which is better.
