Cold vs. Warm Weather and Friction Material

I noticed today, because it's been the first warm spell, I noticed that it's much easier to drive my truck again. Like when I start out from 2nd, it engages a lot better than the other day when it was like 0F outside.

When I was driving it... it was about 46F outside for the first time in a long time.

Is this normal? I don't remember.

It drives really nice and easy when it's warm.

If you are running ATF it will not be as noticeable as if you were running a thicker gear oil. But it is normal for it to shift smoother when it gets warmer out.
