Downshifting from overdrive

I have noticed the past litte while when i am crusing along at highway speeds and start to go up a hill the truck doesn't seem to want to downshift out of overdrive it will actually drop down in rpms and being to bog out. I have to let up off the gas and get back on it and it will downshift.

Any thoughts?

I have a 2005 xlt 5.4l 4X4 Screw With an Edge Evo set at 2 with the shift points 1-2 at -2 and 2-3 at -2 and the rest is what edge sets it at.

I am assuming that you changed the shift points to make the shifts firmer. The programmer changes the TPS output to change shift points, as a result your PCM probably thinks the throttle is not open as far as it really is, thus delaying the downshift. When you let off the throttle the PCM will select a gear based on speed.
Try changing the shift points back to stock and see if that fixes your problem.
