hydralic fitting on M5-RD

hydralic fitting on M5-RD

How do you disconect the hydralic line to the m5-rd tranny? I dont have the "ford" tool to do it and if i remember from the last time i did use it its just a stamped peice of metal that prys it off. Right?

How would you get its off with out useing that tool?

i used 2 screw drivers to push the white plastic ring in tword the trans and while its pushed in i was able to pull to hose out

I went to NAPA and bought the tool for $8.

Like they wrote, Buy the tool or use 2 screwdrivers. Here is a pic of the collar.

Yep.... I went to napa and got the tool. Then it still took me a while. THe rubber gromet there had t ocome out. After i figured out how the fitting worked it wnet quick. Pull the gromet out and snap. It was done.
