tranny problem
I have a 2001 Supercrew. problem is at highway speeds the truck feels like it doesnt kick into overdrive even the it is. When I punch it to pass it takes a while for it to kick down while the rpm stay way up then drops down rough. Any ideas would be greatly apprecciated
Well, you need to be careful doing those kickdowns out of overdrive. That can be an ugly shift if things don't happen properly or if you end up doing a 4-2 downshift. Best idea here is to use the switch to drop it out of overdrive instead of the gas pedal.
What do you mean about it doesn't feel like it kicks into overdrive. More details please.

thanks for responding
while im doing 55 and up it feels like the truck is dragging as if the parking brake were engaged so I have to keep accelerating to stay up to speed. I though that it may be the programmer so I set it to stock and still the same thing.
Ive had some problems like that before but its random, its happened probably 2 or 3 times. Ill be driving at highway speed, let off the gas and the trucks will slow down immediately as if im hitting the brakes, really weird. I also have a problem with my overdrive not wanting to kick out when i hit the gas to pass someone, take a while, lugs then shifts. Everything works fine with the od off though, no problems at all so i just drive it like that.
