P0743 Torque converter code on a F-150 V6 Lariat pickup,all visible looks clean and dry,havent pulled anything apart yet.Truck shifts fine ,BUT overdrive (od) light sometimes flashes.Any dieas?Code doesnot stay erased for long.truck has 100K plus no trans service done yet.....

 

Looks like the torque converter clutch solenoid could be going out. First check the wiring to the solenoid.

 

Ford says its a wiring harness,whats the deal with that?
The truck is driven lightly,never offroad!
I highly doubt that will fix it,Im with you on the solenoid....

 

The code means there is an electrical problem with the TCC solenoid circuit. It could be wiring or the solenoid. The computer can't tell the difference.
