Greasing slip yoke

I'm one of the lucky guys experiencing the "thump bump clank" sound while accelerating. Ive been reading about how it can be fixed by putting teflon grease on the slip yoke. Does anyone have any pictures of the slip yoke or possibly a write-up on how to do it? Thanks

Simple. Remove the driveshaft after marking its location at the rear axle and trans. This is so you can reinstall it in the same location. The front of the shaft that slides into the transmission is a female spline. Clean the inside of this spline with brake cleaner as good as possible. Apply Teflon grease (dealer item) into the spline area you just cleaned. Reinstall the drive shaft. This will fix the problem for a while but the noise will probably come back. There is a TSB regarding this condition also. Check your universal joints while you have the shaft off. They can also make a noise. Good luck.
