I have an odd shake when it gets into overdrive around 50mph, If i continue to pick up speed, in overdrive, its shakes, bucks, like its confused? (wanting to shift back into 3rd) when in 4th gear ( overdrive ) It spudders, shakes when giving gas in that gear around 50-60mph. Does not do it at higher speeds when giving gas in 4th 60+mph.


I have 83000 miles on it 04 f150 fx4, mostly highway, regularly serviced.

I have catback, K&N CAI, 3.73 gears. Also, truck feels great at full throttle all through 1-3 gears.

any ideas.

That sounds more like a low grade misfire than a tranny issue to me - you may need new COP's and/or a set of spark plugs.

i put in new plugs and coils and problem is gone. she runs like a charm.
