thanks onelowf for the link i checked out that site and b&m has the unimatic automatic floor shifter that looks like a 4spd that fits aod trannies with an installation kit and its only 128 bucks that may be cool too only thing is im looking for something where my passengers arent goin to be able to grab it n slide it up into reverse or park on me while im driving the starshifter and megashifter allow you to slapm it as hard as you wnat and it ony goes tp the next gear thats what im looking for ideally
I wouldn't try to put a C4 or C6 on a truck that presently has an electronically controlled tranny - getting the electronics and the old mechanical system sorted out will be a headache. The PCM is going to have a chit fit.
yeah i found out that B&M's light truck megashifter will mount to ford AOD trannies with a bracket and lever installation kit. so if i went through jegs the whole way id be able to do it all for about $260. looks like i might have a project to start after christmas. im really looking in to trying this ill keep everyone posted if i do and provide install photos and hopefully a completed floor shifter install
