I recently had my 4R70W rebuilt. Brought the truck to the shop to have the R&R done. The light never flashed before the tranny got rebuilt, but it is now, I also noticed when the button gets pressed the tranny shifts hard into the next gear, but when pushed again, it downshifts smooth. Any help would be great.

See if the shop has a code reader that's capable of reading out transmission codes.

 

I agree. The flashing OD light means that the computer saw a problem and there is a code that needs to be read out to see what it is.
