Deep Trans Pan
Deep Trans Pan
I'm looking for a "DEEP" pan for my 4x4 Screw but after crawling under and looking at the stock pan it looks pretty close to the trans mount/crossmeber.
What brand do you have?? Was it hard to install? do you like it ? Yes I did a serarch and I could not find anyone who has used the ford pan..I was looking at this one

There is indeed a clearence issue with the thicker alum pans.
The back upper edge is too thick to fit between the valve body and the cross member.
If care is taken to grind away only the areas that need clearence , you can get a pan in place. Use a rubber gasket and some sealer around the bolt holes to be sure no seeping occurrs.
What remains is the difficulty of getting an allen tip on a 1/4" drive up in that area to tighten the allen bolts used.
Patience and work will enable the pan to be used.
Try BREN SPEED for a nice pan at a good price.

You need longer bolts to use the OEM gasket. I sell pans occasionally and I have to ask people what they want to use so I can send them the right length bolts. The bolts you get will likely be 8mmx1.25x26mm
You will need the bolts that are 8mmx1.25x30mm
