I have been throwing around the thought of doing a 5.4 swap or just building my engine up. I left on a trip but before i did i was reading a post that stated that the 5spd couldn't handle the increase in power to the 5.4 I think JMC was the one that said it and if i can remember way back to some of the help he gave me in the past I can remember saying that his didn't hold up.

My question id how big of a problem is this. I want to do the TP Stage 2 upgrade. Cheaper and i think it will give me what i am trying to get. But wit ha gain of 80 HP and torque to match..... I am thinking that it would be just like throwing a 5.4 in there and i would still be down a tranny.

Whats your thoughts. Am i wrong. Will it be able to handle it. JMC any advice?
