In and out of OD.....HELP HELP HELP!!!!

Hey my truck out of the blue started to bounce in and out of over-drive no matter what speed, rpm, or gear. This of course annoyed the living ******* out of me.. so i decided to switch out the silenoids A & B. that SEEMED to have solved it but now it does it again and worse of all it never stopped flair <----'spelling ..?' shifting from 2nd to 3rd I tried looking for myself for some other info but havent found anything... sorry if i just happened to browse over it... can anyone clue me in... BTW there are no check engine lights coming or anything... one person mentioned something about a throttle positioning sensor... and one said something about spark plugs.... sorry the thread is so long but i am so irritated with this thing... its a v-8 4.6 w/ an E-od tranny... dont believe its e40 only 14 bolts on the pan....

I'm sure you know the trans is PCM controlled.
There may be pending codes your not seeing yet.
I would try reading for codes and see if anything points to the trans.
Without a hint your chasing a ghost.
Any trans failures as often as you indicate, has to be detected by The PCM.
Good luck.

Overdrive is fourth gear, so how can the trans bounce in and out of fourth gear if it is in any other gear? Do you mean that the overdrive light is flashing?

Try again to describe what's happening. What you have said above doesn't make sense.

It's a 4R70W transmission.

Exclamation ok sorry..

While im driving my tranny flare shifts from 2nd to 3rd... feels like it dops to
1st as in the rpms race to 3000 then drop to 1700 - 2000 and continues to drives regularly...... once all that craziness is done I can be cruising at
60-70 and the RPMS jump from 1600 to 2000 and back and forth continuously.... BIG P.I.T.A. I ran my truck throught a computer by my father in-law and the only thing it was doing was showing the torque converter cluth kept opening and closing or going in and out which ever way it goes.. I then replaced the A & B solenoids and it seemed to work frine but it would still flair shift from 2nd to 3rd.. I hope this makes more sense to you guys... but the computer didnt show any codes which is what is making this suck.... Thanks for the attention everyone

Why are you not conluding a fault with the OD clutch?
It's electric and not supposed to work that way.
You better have a shop fix it because your at an end.
