c5 trany is really pis-ing me off
I got a 1997 F150 xlt. I put a new 4.2 in it. the trany go mad so I had it rebuilt. It wouldnt down shift to 1st with out pulling it down. so I bought a new one. It does the same thing. I the solenoid assy repalced. It still does the same thing. before I shoot this thang, does anyone have ANY ideas as to what might couse this. the truck doent want to take off in 1st gear unless I pulliut dow to 1st. it will take off in 2nd.

The C5 hasn't been in use since friggin old mustangs and as far as I know never in trucks.
You have a 4R70w. Was the manual lever position sensor replaced?
