lost my speedo a couple weks back and got the vss intermittent codes. had to change the drive gear and driven gear for the speedo as well as the vss itself. still get the blikning od light. tried unhooking the battery for awhile to no avail. anbody got any ideas on where to go from here. by the way, everything is working fine, just get that annoying light.
p.s. it only does this at speeds above 70. very wierd.

 

Both codes are the VSS sensor signal.
Look for a problem with the harness for rub-thru, burn etc.
The signal is there but is not clean.

 

i will spray some electrical contact cleaner on everything a clean it up good. i re-used the driven gear until the right tooth gear arrives. it had a small amount of wear on it. could this contribute to the sensor not getting a clear signal above 70. have driven many miles below that speed with no problems, but every time i cross the 70 threshold, the light blinks. just wondering.
