hey do the new body ford 2004-2007 come stock with auxillary transmission coolers?? I have a lil two row radiator looking thing in the front right under my radiator.with two lines leading back somewhere ...and does it really help me

 

I'd imagine they do. Sound's like yer lookin' at the power steering cooler.

Sorry don't have a tranny cooler in the 5speed '97 to show ya, but this is the PS cooler.

That pic sure looks like a tranny cooler.

wait nvm its a 4 or five row thing and i dont think its a ps cooler the coolant lines are running from the cooler to the back under my truck

 

Did your truck come with the factory tow hitch? If so, then yes, it's a tranny cooler. Comes with the tow package, even the entry level grade 1, which I have.

 

now i didnt get the factory hitch....but the cooler looks just like the one posted in the other thread called transmission cooler by dennis franz he posted the link above me and u ..i have the same thing he has a picture of

 

The transmission cooler (if you have one) will be located in front of the AC coils/radiator just below the bumper line.....the power steering cooler in under the engine compartment located on the front lower crossmember. The tranny cooler is a lot bigger than the power steering unit with 12-14 rows of cooling fins compared to the 4-6 for the PS.....
