93 aod help

Ok i have a 93 f-150 standard cab long bed 302. when driving around between 25+mph it feels like it is a manual in a lower gear. I have been led to the conclusion that it is the torque converter from other people on this board. my question is is there something else that can be mimicing this problem and how do i test it? by the way 105000 on the motor and trans original.

First thing to check is the TV cable, which goes from the throttle lever down to a lever concentric with the shift lever on the L side of the trans. If it's out of adjustment, the transmission can be destroyed in less than 5 miles. It's common for the rubber bushing at the top end to degrade, so this brass one is available:

Get a Haynes manual for the adjustment procedure AFTER you make sure the bushing is good.
