Yes, a '99 will have a drain plug. Ford stopped installing torque converter drain plugs early in the 2002 model year. A very few 2002's will have one, but most don't.

2001 sliping

Hey, read all the other replies, have a related Q. I have a company truck, 2001 150 5.4 4x4, 111,000 miles. I don't know what has been done to the trans as far as service, will call the dealer tomorrow to see history, but the trans slips driving down the road, nothing severe, just like a hiccup every once in a while, but just seems to be getting worse, thinking a service or flush may help, but the fluid on the stick looks like its brand new. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
