Your C6 may not work

I am no expert on this, but it seems like I read that if the tranny was not originally in a 4X4 it will not work. Something about the way the case bolts to the transfer case I think. If you don't get more answers here I would call a salvage yard, they should know. If anyone knows more than I please jump in here and correct me.

Yes, any Ford FS truck trans (including the C6) can be rebuilt to change between 2- & 4WD. If you can't find the parts in a junkyard, a transmission shop, an online trans supplier (like drivetrain.com, Baumann, etc.), a Ford dealer, or an online Ford parts dealer (like 1stfordparts.com), try contacting a modifier like AdvanceAdaptors.com .
