Clicky the sticky above.

Model: E4OD
Type: Electronic Four speed Over Drive
Years: 1990-1998 Bronco, F-Series
Engines: 300, 302, 351, 5.4L, 460, 7.3L
Display: PRN(D)21 w/ overdrive lockout switch
Fluid: Mercon
Ratios:
1st 2.71:1
2nd 1.54:1
3rd 1.00:1
4th 0.71:1

I dont see how a lift depends on a tranny though...

Check your door tag code if you're that worried about it.

And Speedy, mine has PRN(D)D21

E=Electronic Controlled
4=Four forward gears
OD=Overdrive equipped.

The E40D was superceded by the 4R100 in all production around January of 98 (or was it 99?) for vehicles that got the heavier duty tranny.

I'll try and get a picture for you speeder. I do have the button though. I have a customer with an 02 F250 that has the E4OD in it. I checked it myself, E code on the door tag.

Thats the 4R100 in the 02 ther Navi, the 4R100 was a '98ish replacement for the E4OD. Same code, same pan, same gears, but updated internals.

So what is the difference between lockin out OD by the button and shifting to a seperate D from OD like you say? Must be a lincoln thing...
