4R70W Slipping

I have a 2001 Supercab 4x4, when it goes into overdrive the truck shakes like the transmission is slipping or something. My truck has 77k miles on it and I have
always changed the fluid and filter at the recommended interval. What could be wrong? I have another prob that might be related, the button on the shifter that turns the OD off quit working, I found the fuse blown and changed it yesterday and that fixed the prob but today it quit workin again. I find it hard to believe that my trans is worn out already, I have never towed anything with it or abused it in any way.

probably a pinched or melted wire. Check where the harness goes near the exhaust.

For the OD cancel switch and blown fuse, check the wiring harness in the column where the wires run out to the shift lever. Yours are broken and the hot lead is shorting to ground.

As for the shudder, it's either TC shudder, worn OD band, or an engine misfire.

If my problem is TC shudder or worn OD band, does this mean I need a trans overhaul or is there a less expensive way to correct the problem?

I had a shutter w/ my od and it's gone now after a shift kit but I had nothing going on with a blown fuse and/or od light being off. Have you had any work done on the truck as far as alarm or remote start, etc. installed recently? Reason I ask is because I do them for a living and i've repaired many for other peoples work who have tied into wrong wires and/or mounted something in that vicinity to where they would damage plugs and/or harnesses pulling pins out or even shorting them to the column. Keep in mind that it doesn't always happen immediately, a wire can rub the insulation off gradually too when pressed against something. good luck
