alright here's one for you. I got a 302 with a Factory AOD tranny and about 117000 on it. i pulled it out on the road up in town earlier one day and lit em up powerbreakin and really got some good smoke rollin. everything was fine. I got to a friend of mine's house and i thought i'd do it again as i was leaving. i put it to the floor and held about 2100 rpms for a sec and then reved way up to about 4 grand. i thought it just broke loose but there was no smoke or rubber and the guy said the tires made one lunge forward but didn't spin at all. I'd just like to know what exactly happend to it. There's no overdrive, it has to spin about 3000 before it'll shift to third as soon as you let off the gas RPMs drop way down and then go way back up when you hit the gas again. It's all forward gears no reverse and no neutral. even in park you can tell it's under a load

 

The forward clutch is welded together. You trashed it.
