4R100 seperation from engine

Is this straight forward just undo the bolts and pull tranny from the engine? Sorry if I sound dumb. I have now a lightning motor and tranny just going to start putting together parts list. Just wanting to unhook the tranny from the motor though. It is in the box of my truck right now.

Remove the torque converter nuts through the plug on the driver's side of the block or the hole where the starter goes. Then remove all the bellhousing bolts and the transmission comes away from the engine. You may have to employ a prybar to get the bellhousing off of the dowel pins though.

Tranny removal

Thanks Quintin i got it. Except I had already undone the bellhousing bolts and pulled the tranny without the tourque converter. I took off the converter second. Is it suppose to be tough to turn?

What, the transmission? If it's in gear, yes. In neutral, no.
