Stuck in park
Chrysler mini van suddenly stuck in park after driving fine for 15 minutes. Can not move gear shift when stopped with key in or without key. Van will not turn over. Ignition will move but no starting sound. Also, tranny chunks and clunks when you change gears when engine running and stopped. Help!

Is the brake lights working? A safety feature for vehicles with an auto. trans. that require you to press on the brake pedal to move from park is when the rear lights are not functioning the lever wont move. Find out if your brake lights are working or not and take it from there.
