Angry Help with manual trans!!

Guys,
I've got an '03 f150 FX4 with a 4.6, 5-speed. It has been giving me off and on fits about going into 1st, 2nd or reverse from a stop. I took it to the dealer TWICE and of course there was no problem. In fact when it came back the last time it never shifted better!
They said they checked the usual things like reservior level, linkage, etc, but could not duplicate it on a test drive (of course). My warranty runs out in May and I need to get this resolved, not to mention that I'm afraid of destroying the trans forcing it into gear!

What could it be that comes and goes (it's come now and pi$$in me off)?

Thanks for your help in advance!

20,500 Miles and I changed the fluid for the first time (I bought it used) with Mobil 1 about 2000 miles ago. No change in the issue.

Are you depressing the clutch fully when you drive?

The next time it gives you an issue with shifting into first from a stop. Put it in neutral, release the clutch pedal, depress the clutch pedal and then try shifting again.

Corpsie,
Yea, I'm putting it to the floor.
The ford dealer tried to tell me last time that it wasn't working properly because the tranny was still rotating when it tried to shift(?). So I tried every combination including what you just said, kind of double-clutching. No change....

Take the service guy from the dealer for a ride the next time it's happening.
