Intermintent Trany Slippage
Intermintent Trany Slippage
Hey Guys:
I'm looking for some ideas. I've got an 03 F150 4x4 Scab 4.6 auto that sometimes slips in lower gears. Sometimes can be once in 4 weeks or a couple times in a day. No patterns. When it slips it occurs for 1 - 2 seconds and then with a thud the tranny is back to normal. Happens sometimes turning into driveways, both left and right turns and accelerating away from traffic lights or toll boths. Never noticed it occuring over 25 mph. My truck has 74K on it and this has happened from time to time since the end of the 36K warranty.
So far I've had the tranny flushed, no change. I've changed the fluid/filter the old fashon way with dropping the pan, no change.
Any ideas?
Thanks
