1998 Navigator....I am at wit's end!

Hey guys,

I know I posted this once before, but I can't seem to pinpoint the problem with the navi. Once again, 4H and AWD are not engaging, however 4L is. I replaced the transfer case motor and it still doesn't work. I also ran a diagnostic test and the code p-1865 came up (general circuit failure). I don't know what else to try. Has anyone experieced this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your patience,

Kris

Try the switch. YOu may have bad contacts that aren't catching a current on the awd and 4 hi. I have the same model but havne't had a problem with it

If the switch is malfunctioning it could, and if you have replaced everything else this is a cheap try that if doens't work, take it back
