bogging out all the time

i have an 97 F150 automatic, and it always seems too be in wrong gear. When i get on it hard it will shift up and bog so it will down shift and then it will pull hard, but then it will up shift and bogg agin, whats the problem, my dad told me it might be because of my tires ( I have 38" super swampers) so he told me too try turning off my over drive. so i tryed that and it pulled hard but once i got in the cayon and all the hills it would bogg out agin... thanks for the help

Yeah 38s will do that, unless you spent the money for new gearing. What engine? And what gears are you running?
