Howdy and welcome! 96 or 97?

sold as 97 but labeled 96, the first year after the square body..have just found out that I blew fuse #13 (Brake ON/OFFswitch, Rear Anti_lock Brake Module and Brake Pressure switch),, so I guess I now have to look for a short somewhere.. can't shift out of Park because of the blown fuse.. I assume I need to depress brake to shift but no battery to brake switch and therefore can't shift out of park..

Ok, we just call it a 97 round here. Model years avoid confusion.

Replace the fuse first and see what happens. Sometimes vibrations just cause a fuse to fail. Check the third brake light to make sure it's not full of rain water. Do you have a trailer connection? Check that to make sure any splices or the connector isn't corroded. Any electrical mods done lately?
