Noise in the rear end

Couple things...
First I have been hearing a noise lately usually when I take off.. Sounds like a clunking coming from mid or back of the truck.. I am going to take it to the dealer this week but just seeing if anyone else has had this problem?
--
Edit..
Sorta sounds like a u-joint but its just not 1 clunk its a couple sometimes happens when i turn also
--
Also
I was playing in the snow that we just got here in MA and I am not getting both tires spining most of the time i would think in the snow whith the whel cut i should have both spinning all the time .. Im pretty sure that my truck is limit slip? I am thinking i might change the gear oil in the rear end and that might help?? Anyone have this problem??????

It is your u-joints. It makes the sound you described to the T. Replace them with ones that are greaseable. It is about $40 bucks for both.

the noise could be the differential, parking brakes hanging up, u joint or slip yoke. or alot of other things.
I'm not sure what truck you have but look at the sticker in the door jamb. under axle it will have. 19, 18, H9 or b6.
19 – 3.55 Non-LS
18 – 3.08 Non-LS
H9 – 3.55 LS
B6 – 3.73 LS

Hey 05Blue - I have something similiar, only it is more of a snapping sound/sensation that you can hear and feel and happens at least a few times each take off from a stop. Straight or turning. Happens mostly when truck is driven after sitting for a while ( all day while at work or all night ). Seems to be not as bad after warmed up.

Had it in 3 weeks ago for it, they lubed the slip yoke, that lasted about 100 miles ( basically a week ) and now it is back. Going in Friday to have it looked at again. Will have to leave it at dealer overnight again so I does it for the tech again..

Please let me know what they do to fix yours..
