RPMs too low

I recently had the ring and pinion changed in my '04 screw tranny, for the second time, and noticed that when i hit OD it drops down seriously in the RPMs. At 60 I might be pulling 1400 RPMs and the tranny sounds deep and rough, like it's under powered. It happened the first time the day after the changeout. I took it in and they told me they had not reset the PC and it ran great for about 50 miles. Then is dropped off again. Now when I take it in they tell me it's in spec. When I accelerate it is very sluggish unless I hit it hard enough to drop out of OD. I am convinced it's not right. Any insight?

Hear is what I would do.
Firmly request them to go with you on a road test and show them what it does.
Then ask firmly if they would want there truck to shift that way?
When doing a job,,,,,,,,,,do the whole job and not just half a job.
If they don't know, then admitt it and find out what it takes to clear the problem! especially if you paid for the job already.

I did

I have asked that they go with me on a ride...they won't. I'm more than a little sceptical. None the less, my problem continues to exist. The problem is only in OD. All other gears are fine.
