5 speed ready to go

hows everyone doing? i've had my f-150 since november of last year and my 5 speed is getting near the end, so now i need another trans and i wanna know what you guys think?, i like the 5 speeds but they are hard to find, and i know where a long bed 87 is, but it has a four speed...would that trans fit in mine? its a nice tranny w/ a fresh clutch? would it be a direct match? mine is a 1990 shortbed 2wd, and the other is an 1987 longbed 2wd , and both 300's. if anyone could help me that would be great b/c i need it?...one more thing, what about 3:73's in the rear? thanks for everyones help

I'm not positive, but they should swap, I don't know how the computer will react, if it was a carb I would say go for it, but like I said not sure with the computer.

Will bolt up no problem.

No computer issues even with the newest stickshifts.
