transmission flush

Hey how's it going? I own a 2001 F150 with a 5.4 V8 and I have the trannsimssion that takes Mercon V for the atf. Is a trannsmission flush better than taking the tranny pan off and draining it? I was about to have it done and just asking what would be the best. Thanks for the help.

A flush will change about 95% of the fluid. Dropping the pan and replacing what comes out will change about 40% of the fluid. Your call.

I use this method:

Thanks dude I appreciate the info, and with that in mind I will probably get it flushed. I love Fords and have not had any problems out of my tranny but Ford needs to make a better tranny or get with some company like Chevy did with Allision. Why don't the get with Jasper Transmissions like they did with Internationl to build their diesel engines?
