Question Factory Tech Separator Plate Problems- Help!

I just installed my "C" Plate today on my '01 2wd. Took her out for a drive, shifts seem really hard and I felt some bogging after the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. After rolling through the neighboorhood, I wen to the highway and let her out a little and lost overdrive! Got it back to the house with overdrive disengaged but I'm at a loss right now. Only thing I can think of is on the 2-3 accumulator I installed the new piston per the directions but I used the cap with the kit instead of the old cap. Could the cap with the kit be for the 1-2 only? It's alot different than the stock one on the 2-3 (stock one has a cone in the middle and 3 1/16" holes) while the one I put in from the kit looked just like the cap from the 1-2 accumulator. If anyone has done this kit or can offer some advice I really appreciate it. I had to borrow my buddies Pontiac Assfire just to get to work tonight, so yes I'm already missing my baby.

sorry to hear you're having problems with the install. i was going to install my "B" kit today but i've never tackled a transmission before and the FT instructions are not very clear so i am having second thoughts. it certainly would be helpful if FT identified the parts that come with the kit...the diagram seems to be missing some critical info IMO. i can't figure out where that cap goes either (???)

That was a 1-2 cap in the kit you need to put the all metal cap on the 2-3 accumulator.

It's pretty simple all the accumulator parts are stock replacement parts. they are only included as new replacements and an upgrade for those with pre 97 transmissions. I will tell you it is a truck so you likely want to keep the 2-3 accumulator spring and the lower 1-2 spring. Use the new upper 1-2 spring.
