03 F-150 4r70 tranny, when i put the shifter into reverse i can count two about 2 seconde before she engages and starts going in reverse has been doing this for the longest time (i think since i installed FTV body 2 years ago) does everybody else have this hesatation before going into reverse or is it just me? tranny fluid level perfect, no slipping or anything like that just a 2 second delay before it engages reverse, thanks in advance for any info

 

anybody else have this 2 second or so delay before going into reverse? or do all your trannys instantly go into reverse like it goes into drive?

 

My 4R100 goes right into reverse no delay...

I have no problems out of mine and I shift out of reverse into drive before coming to a stop just about every time only then I do get a delay and thats only about a split second delay and thats probable because I'm rolling at 1 or 2 mph at the time.

 

FTV body? you modded the transmission valve body?

This probably is a valve body problem, but I'd like to hear exactly what you did before giving advice.

 

i installed a factoryteck valve body it is a new valve body and springs just like a shift kit exept it is a new valve body, everything works perfect exept the 2 second pause when going into reverse
