Not wanting to start

Hey this is going to be kind of general since I am in Afganistan and my truck is in arkansas. When trying to start my truck with the clutch in the starter clicks for awhile, after awhile of doing this it will usually fire up, before I left I rebuilt my starter so I don't think it is that. Plus my buddy back home who is keeping my truck said it was the Clutch safety switch? I know automatics have a nuetral safety switch but don't know much about straight gears. He said he bought a new (rebuilt) clutch safety switch and it fixed the problem for a little while. He went to a ford dealership to buy a new one but they don't sell them to the public. Does anyone know where I can get a new one (not rebuilt) or another solution to the problem? Thanks in advance for any help

I don't know if the switch is the problem but not selling to the public is B.S.
I buy parts at a price break from a local dealer.

Well I will have my buddy who is a mechanic at a ford dealership back in Virginia get one and send it to my roomate in Arkansas and see if that fixes it.
