Transmission Oil Plug Drain Installation Location

In the very near future, I plan to install tranny oil pan drain plugs in our 98, 99(?) and 00 F150’s. In the instruction it states find a proper installation location, but does not give a suggested location. Instead of relying totally on my own location selection process, I would rather make use of the limitless knowledge base of this forum and ask where other people have installed the drain plug on the F150’s with the 4R70W tranny. All of the F150’s are 4X4’s. Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance,

Chris

If you notice the dimple (lowest point) in the bottom of your pan, install the plug on the back side center of this, towards the rear of the truck.
