Wink What transmission type in my 1999 f-150 4.2 5 speed?

It doesn't say in the owners manual. I even went to the Ford webpage and entered my VIN and the page that shows transmission type is blank. I have the manual tranny. American League is up 5-zip.

Here's the info from the 1999 service manual about the tranny codes on the door sticker, Im assuming yours is code "M"?

Transmission Codes

M — 5-speed manual overdrive (Mazda M5R2-C).

U — 4-speed automatic (AODEW/4R70W).

E — 4-speed automatic (4R100).

7 — 4-speed automatic (4R100).

All the five speed manuals from mid 80s to currently in the 150s and broncos have been the Mazda M5OD-R2. There was however another "heavy duty" M5OD-something, but that was rare.
