M5R2 no reverse
Hi folks
I've been having a problem with the M5R2 5spd manual tranny in my '96 F150. Back in late April, I could not get into reverse. All other gears worked fine. When I pulled of the shift lever, I noticed a small lever which was blocking the shift lever from selecting reverse. Seemed stuck, so I gave it a small nudge and it moved freely. I'm assuming this lever is the reverse locout mechanism.
Reverse was working fine until the other day. Then it happened again. Has this happened to anyone before, and if so how do I fix this?
