Well the O/D light started blinking on me yesterday. I was driving on the highway at around 65-70mph. It was 97 degress and humid out, if that helps. The rpms jumped up to 2,500 or so, and the button seems useless to turn on/off o/d when its flashing. It turned itself back to normal as I was driving, and had no problem driving home last night.

I did a search on the blinking O/D Light, and it seems like its a common problem. How do I check for a code, and I'm curious to what type of tranny is in my truck. Its code U on the door tag. Is there any type of decoder out there that says what the other codes on my door tag means too?
