When I put my truck in gear the shifter will slide back and forth and I run out of range before I get into first gear. I got underneath and the linkage just doesn't seem right. The black rectangle on the end of the shift cable just slides back and forth on the yellow plastic clip attached to the transmission. Is there some trick to resecuring it?
